Effects of dietary nitrate on oxygen cost during exercise
Beetroot nitrate reduced the oxygen cost of exercise — the same effort for less energy — opening a field of research on blood flow and stamina.

An independent summary of published ingredient research, not the original paper or a clinical study of CORE49.
What the research found
Nine well-trained young men took part in a short crossover study. Dietary sodium nitrate reduced the oxygen required during submaximal cycling compared with placebo.
The important context
The intervention was sodium nitrate, not a finished beetroot product. The small sample and short duration matter; nitrate content cannot be assumed from the presence of beetroot powder.
Where CORE49 fits
This paper informs our understanding of an individual ingredient. It did not evaluate the finished CORE49 formula. Study populations, ingredient forms and amounts can differ from those in our daily drink; ingredient evidence and formula evidence are not interchangeable.
