The effect of coenzyme Q10 on morbidity and mortality in chronic heart failure (Q-SYMBIO)

In this controlled trial, long-term CoQ10 alongside standard care supported heart function in people with chronic heart failure — a window into cellular energy.

Coenzyme Q10 (Ubiquinone) — one of the 49 ingredients in CORE49

An independent summary of published ingredient research, not the original paper or a clinical study of CORE49.

What the research found

Q-SYMBIO followed 420 people with moderate to severe heart failure for two years. CoQ10 was given alongside standard care. Long-term cardiovascular outcomes differed between groups, while short-term endpoints did not show significant changes.

The important context

This is research in people with a diagnosed condition receiving medical care. It cannot be translated into a promise about everyday energy in healthy people. CORE49 is not a replacement for medical care.

Where CORE49 fits

This paper informs our understanding of an individual ingredient. It did not evaluate the finished CORE49 formula. Study populations, ingredient forms and amounts can differ from those in our daily drink; ingredient evidence and formula evidence are not interchangeable.
